Community Bash

Bank Holiday Monday 26th August 2019

Castell Roc Festival proudly opens the gates to Chepstow Castle for this Community Event with a TOTALLY FREE ENTRY !

Countless Chepstow Folk will have fond memories of long lost Community Events held within the Town. Firm family favourites such as 'The Pram Race', 'Rock In The Dell', 'Chepstow Carnival', 'Fireworks at the St Tecla Public House', St Lawrence & Mount Pleasant Hospital Fete's and many more that are all sadly now distant memories.

The Castell Roc Organisation has once again worked hard along with kind support from Chepstow Town Council to bring back some 'old school' Community 'sparkle' to Chepstow in 2019, with it's "FREE Community Bash".

Brought to you by local people, for the community and all neatly wrapped up in the original heart of the Town, Chepstow Castle....

So, who's playing on the CASTELL ROC stage

Hailing from the South West, you may be forgiven for thinking Eastertown have already had their fair share of time in the limelight. Having already added airplay on Radio 1 and MTV alongside supporting major signed acts to their extensive resume, Eastertown have the opinion that they're just getting started as also this summer they will be supporting Imelda May and the Kaiser Chiefs.

The band have spent decades honing their craft, the result being faultless driving indie pop rock with real lyrical depth and more hooks than a fisherman's tackle box. The band come to Chepstow Castle, fresh from the studio with their latest offering, the album 'Utopian'.

Put simply, this band is an earworm. They'll work their way in and refuse to leave until you find yourself willingly, or even unwillingly, singing along.

If you had to pidgeon hole Eastertown, you should think of a mash-up of Snow Patrol, The Killers, Coldplay, Radiohead, U2….

Zepher are a rock band based in Bristol and consist of Welsh brothers Louis and Toby Ellis alongside guitarist Shannon Edwards.

The band work heavily on song writing and crafting their own dynamic sound. It’s instantly recognisable and entirely different to any other band out there atm.

Zepher have gigged relentlessly around the UK in the last three years and even travelled to Los Angeles in 2018 to support Steven Adler (of Guns N Roses fame) at the legendary “Whiskey A Go Go” nightclub.

Originally formed in 2011, the Fired Up boys pride themselves in performing their own unique arrangements of classic songs, predominantly from the 70's + 80’s.

Expect songs from David Bowie - Queen - Prince - Van Halen - Pink Floyd - Peter Gabriel - ELO - Whitesnake - Toto - Cutting Crew - Robert Palmer & many more

"We select well known songs for the Fired Up treatment, then deliver them in a dynamic professional show"!

Next up are the mighty "Ha Ha's".

A raucous rock n blues band from Caldicot, renowned for their high energy live gigs.

With a set that includes The Doors, Hendrix, Stones, Primal Scream, Cream, SRV, AC/DC, plus a good few more jumping tunes that are sure to get you on your feet for a boogie……

For this show the Band will be joined by the legend that is Rob Davies (Breathless, Low Down Snakes) on lead guitar.
